Having my phone with me at all times makes it incredibly convenient, and the ease of access allows me to dive seamlessly into Delta whenever the opportunity arises.

Whether waiting in the car after school to pick up the kids, accompanying my daughter to her swimming lesson, or even during those brief moments on the toilet, these are all the ideal opportunities to enjoy some nostalgic gaming sessions.

For legal reasons, I cannot provide specific directions on where to download game ROMs. However, a quick and simple Google search should lead you in the right direction.

TMNT - Fall of the Foot Clan

Konami released the original Gameboy game "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Fall of the Foot Clan" in August 1990, inspired by the TMNT TV series. This was the first TMNT game on the Gameboy, where the turtles embarked on a mission to rescue their friend April O'Neil, battling against the forces of Krang and Shredder's army.

I've recently discovered a new version, in colour and with extra bonus modes in a fan remake, giving it a new life and a fresh take on the original.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Fall of the Foot Clan Fan Remake

'Rescue-Palooza: Fall of the Foot Clan DX' is an impressive fan remake created by the talented Merso X Games team. This project has been under development for more than three years. The team has also been behind successful remakes like 'Power Rangers: Beats of Power' (February 2017) and 'Super Karate Kid' (November 2018). Additionally, they have an exciting upcoming pirate-themed Beat 'em Up called 'Buccaneers: Shipshape.'

A free demo for 'Fall of the Foot Clan DX' has been released for download to play on the PC.

The game has undergone a complete remake, featuring vibrant colours and an additional mode that allows you to play as the bad guys. This exciting update adds a fresh twist to the gameplay experience.

Sonic Overture ‘95

Sonic Overture '95 is a fan-made prequel inspired by the 32-bit Sega Saturn, paying tribute to the original Sonic the Hedgehog (1991) released on the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive. It delves into Sonic's adventure on Christmas Island, his birthplace.

Developed by Jass and Jordan Lange, Sonic Overture '95 is an evolution of their 2014 fan-made demo. The new development team, Pixy-Pie, the project director, artist, and animator, along with Additional Trees as the lead-level designer and programmer, are not affiliated with or endorsed by the original creators. However, the game successfully captures the essence of Sega's vibrant style and faithfully delivers an authentic Sonic experience.

This demo was released over Christmas 2023, features 4 levels; Sunrise Gate Zone Act 1 & 2, Granite Zone Act 1 & 2, and a boss fight, with hidden secrets and Easter eggs. Among them is the blue rabbit, an early art concept before the hedgehog design took its place.

With gameplay and controls reminiscent of the classic Sonic games, Sonic Overture '95 showcases improved graphics and new music. The stunning backgrounds contribute to its overall visual beauty.

This is just a gorgeous looking game. For Sonic enthusiasts, it is sure to evoke those nostalgic vibes.

You can download the free demo here (Windows only).

This Month's Birthday Boy

The Game Boy turned 35 on the 21st of April 2024.

This month, we celebrate the iconic handheld console that brought joy to countless gamers. The Game Boy holds a cherished place in our hearts, from its monochrome screen to its unforgettable games like Pokémon, Super Mario Land, and Tetris.

During the '90s, my Game Boy has been my faithful travel companion, accompanying me on adventures around the world. From long flights to train rides, just having it by my side brought a sense of comfort.

As a kid in those days, the ability to whip out my Game Boy and play whenever I pleased was nothing short of magical. The memories and happiness it brought me are absolutely priceless.

Although I remember constantly worrying about the batteries dying, so I had to keep spares on hand, and they didn't come cheap for an 11-year-old boy.

I'll definitely be keeping an eye on it.

Sonic The Hedgehog 3

It has been reported Keanu Reeves will be joining the cast in the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 3. Reeves will be voicing for the character, Shadow the Hedgehog. In the upcoming sequel, Sonic and his friends will protect the earth from Dr. Gerald Robotnik (Jim Carrey) who is searching for an emerald that has the power to build and destroy civilization.

In Sega's Sonic universe, Shadow the Hedgehog was created by Dr. Robotnik through genetic engineering in an attempt to cure his ill granddaughter, Maria. Despite forming a close bond with Maria, Shadow was considered a threat by the government.
