Sony PVM Stock — Restocked Regularly

I bring in Sony PVM monitors from overseas on an ongoing basis, so this isn’t a one-off list — it’s an evolving stock of units I’ve sourced, prepped, and made available to the Australian retro gaming community over time.

I don’t photograph and list every individual monitor upfront — with the volume I deal in, it’s just not practical. Instead, I grade by condition below so you know roughly what you’re getting, and once you’re interested in a model, I’ll send you real photos and videos of the actual unit before you commit.

Stock levels change fast, so this list is a guide — message me for what’s actually available right now.

Every unit goes through testing before it’s sent to a buyer. If there are any major issues, I’ll always let you know upfront — transparency matters more to me than a quick sale. Prices listed are a guide, not fixed — the final price reflects the actual condition of the unit once tested. Testing isn’t a commitment to purchase either; if you change your mind, want to wait, or decide to keep looking, that’s completely fine, no obligation either way.

CONDITION GRADING

NOS — New Old Stock: Close to brand new inside and out. Geometry, convergence, and purity are close to perfect — though no CRT can ever be guaranteed 100% flawless.
A — Mint: No burn-in, clean screen, tidy cosmetics. Geometry and convergence are close to perfect, with the same caveat — no CRT is guaranteed flawless.
B — Good: No burn-in, fully functional, normal wear for its age with minor scuffs, dents, or cosmetic wear. Geometry is mostly accurate, though may occasionally show slight bowing, pincushioning, or minor convergence drift.
C — Working: Functional, with more noticeable scuffs, dents, or cosmetic wear (light burn-in ONLY on rare occasions). May show more noticeable geometry issues — pincushioning, bowing, or convergence misalignment — ranging from minor to more obvious depending on the unit.

Every unit is inspected and cleaned before it's sold

Full clean, inside and out
Anode cap re-greased
Degaussed and calibrated
Video tested so you can see it running before you buy
Recapped only if needed — not done as standard unless the unit calls for it (I’m not a CRT technician)

SHIPPING WITHIN AUSTRALIA

Every unit is shipped in a wooden crate custom-ordered to fit that specific monitor size. I reuse crates where I can, rather than throw them out. Each crate is foam-padded on all 6 sides (3cm foam), so the monitor is fully enclosed and cushioned, not just top and bottom. I’ve shipped this way for two years now and seldom run into issues.

Courier is usually a private van pickup/delivery service, occasionally a local courier service, depending on the destination.

Shipping is charged at cost — whatever the courier charges me, no markup, and I don’t charge extra for the crate, padding, or handling, these are the estimated costs for shipping nationwide (Australia):

9″ units — approx. $50
14″ units — approx. $100
20″ units — approx. $200
